Time Saving Tips For After You Move In

Congratulations! You’ve moved into a new home. Moving can be a stressful event, but it doesn’t have to be.

Our number one time saving tip for after you move in is to reduce wait times. You have to schedule so many different appointments to get your new home set up, it can take an entire extra day or two to get it all accomplished.

Here are a few ways you can manage it all more easily:

  • Schedule all service appointments for the same day. You’ll have to set up all the utilities and some of them will require in person visits.
  • Make a punch list for everything the handyman needs to do. That way, everything can be accomplished in one visit instead of several.
  • Hire a babysitter. If your kids aren’t in school or if it’s the weekend, hire a babysitter to entertain your kids while you check off things on your move-in to-do list.
  • Hire someone to unpack and organize. Let someone else unpack while you focus on getting adjusted to your new neighborhood, city and home.

We understand the pressures that come with moving into a new home. We want to help you avoid feeling overwhelmed as you try to get settled. Instead of watching your to-do list grow, we can help you gain more hours in the day to enjoy your new home.
