Here are a few ways you can manage it all more easily:
- Schedule all service appointments for the same day. You’ll have to set up all the utilities and some of them will require in person visits.
- Make a punch list for everything the handyman needs to do. That way, everything can be accomplished in one visit instead of several.
- Hire a babysitter. If your kids aren’t in school or if it’s the weekend, hire a babysitter to entertain your kids while you check off things on your move-in to-do list.
- Hire someone to unpack and organize. Let someone else unpack while you focus on getting adjusted to your new neighborhood, city and home.
