How To Throw A Virtual Baby Shower

Springtime has always traditionally been the busiest baby shower season. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, many parents expecting a new addition to the family are left without the traditional support system. Social distancing has meant physical distancing and this has left many expectant parents feeling alone.

Nothing can replace a traditional baby shower, but there are still ways you can celebrate the parents, the new addition to the family, and show them you are available to support them even if physically distant. Here’s how:

DECORATE

Order party decor to be delivered to the expectant parents’ home. We recommend ordering something simple from favorite local retailer that will fill their home with an air of celebration.

CELEBRATE WITH CAKE

Make the celebration feel festive with traditional party food. Order and have hors d’ourves, treats & their favorite drinks delivered to their home from their favorite local restaurants and bakeries.

INVITE FRIENDS & FAMILY TO COME (VIRTUALLY) TO A PARTY

Make a guest list, set a date and time, and invite friends and family to attend a virtual baby shower. Pick your favorite chat platform and ask people to pop in during a certain time frame. Designate someone as the party host and ask them to facilitate certain talking points. Everyone can introduce themselves and say how they know the parents, share a favorite memory, and predict one good thing that will happen in the future. PS – don’t forget to record the virtual chat. It’ll be something you all will look back on fondly many years from now.
