Sometimes just thinking about getting organized is overwhelming. What do you start with first? Computer files? Photographs? Closets? Your office? There are many strategies to getting organized, some we’ve heard along the way and many we have used ourselves. However, taking the first step is the most important and can help you tremendously. If you feel like there are so many places to start, choose one of these four tasks to kick start your organizing.
Seasonal Cleanout. Purging. Marie Kondo-ing your life.
Whatever term you wish to call it, it all comes down to one simple thought: How did I get so much stuff, and how do I get rid of it all? It’s easy enough to shove that juicer you never use in the back corner kitchen cabinet. And all of that baby or kid gear that is never used anymore? It’s been living in the back of a closet for way too long. Continue reading

Nothing says springtime quite like egg hunts and Easter bunnies. And just like the tulips in the Boston Public Garden, Easter seems to pop up out of nowhere, and leave us wondering how it crept up on us so fast.

The COVID-19 crisis has us all feeling stir crazy. We’re certainly thankful that it’s been feeling more like spring than winter so we can get outside and not feel so cooped up in the house.
With this nicer weather, use this time to do some spring cleaning. Here are a few ideas:
- Flip your mattress
- Pull out all of the kids’ clothes and make a pile of items they’ve outgrown
- Go through your garage, attic and basement
- Set aside your comforters and winter jackets to be cleaned
- Make a pile of your book and toy donations
For anything that needs to be taken to the cleaners or be donated, just set them out on your porch for us. We’ll pick them up for you.

Our lives have been turned upside down by the COVID-19 crisis. For some of us, focusing on what we can do brings a sense of calm.
Let’s use this time to get ahead on all of the projects that come up that we never have time to get to. That way when we stop social distancing and life gets back to the daily craziness, you’ll have all of these projects checked off of your list. Here are some ideas:
- Address lists for next year’s holiday cards
- A list of all of the important dates coming up this year for birthdays, anniversaries and special days. We can order flowers or a gift and have it sent directly with a note from you!
- Let’s order and make those summer camp care packages now. You’ll be so thankful come July!
- There will also come a time when we can travel again…let us start planning your holiday vacations for next winter and beyond.

You should always love your home. That is more true now than ever with all of us spending more time at home due to the COVID-19 crisis. We want to help you make your home a place you want to be.
One way to accomplish this is through home organizing. Take some time each day to tackle the clutter and get your kids to help, too!
We will send you organizing tips, conduct virtual organizing sessions together, and provide encouragement to re-organize your home. When the donations pile up or you have a full bag of clothes that you’d like to consign, leave them on your front porch or in your garage, and we’ll swing by and pick them up for you. You’ll feel lighter without ever needing to leave the house.
