Dryer Vent Cleaning
Your dryer vent should be inspected and cleaned once a year. If you have a larger household, you may want to bump that up to two or three times a year. Lint is highly flammable and failure to clean out your vents can result in a fire. The heating element on your dryer can also burn out from a plugged dryer vent. A sign that your dryer is in desperate need of a vent cleaning is if it’s taking longer to dry items.
Plumbing Inspection
Your home’s plumbing system should be checked at least once every two years. Plumbing inspections check anywhere that water runs through your home. Plumbers will also check underneath and outside of your home, check hydrants and pipes for leaks, and to make sure you have enough anti-freeze protection.
Smoke Alarms & Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Did you know you need to check your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors monthly and replace the batteries once or twice a year? These are life-saving devices. Create a reoccurring calendar event so you never forget.
